LHS Senior Curtis Boyer raised $8,000 for Senior Research Project

LEWISTON, ID - A local boy makes giving back look easy, as his gifts of generosity are felt in more ways than one.

The only requirement for senior research projects is that the task they choose needs to make them a better person. LHS senior Curtis Boyer has done exactly that. He set up a memorial fund in honor of his grandmother's giving spirit, raised more than $8,000 and gave that money to three local organizations Tuesday.

"The three that I chose, some of them she was involved with and some of them also just deal with cancer," said Boyer. "They help people out."

The Willow Center for grieving children, St. Joseph Family Hospice and the LC Valley Live-Strong Cancer Foundation were all given more than $2,000. Boyer said that none of this would have been possible without the help of Lewis-Clark Credit Union, the LC Valley and
residents of Lapwai.
