LPD Narcotics investigation arrests criminals with drugs

LEWISTON, ID - Two people are behind bars Thursday evening, following a drug bust in North Lewiston.

According to the Lewiston Police Department, authorities pulled over a gray ford mustang, believed to be involved in drug activity, Thursday afternoon. Upon searching the vehicle, 200 grams of methamphetamine and an undisclosed amount of cocaine were found. The driver of the car, 42-year-old Julie Gillespie and 46-year-old Randy Rider of Billings, Montana were both arrested and booked into the Nez Perce County Jail.

A narcotics officer was conducting surveillance on the car in connection with an on-going investigation. A police canine unit was used to locate the drugs.
