Maialina opens with fundraiser for U of I student fighting brain cancer

MOSCOW, ID - The owners of the Sangria Grille in Moscow will open a new restaurant in a couple of weeks, and the community is invited to take a sneak peek of it Monday night and Tuesday.

The restaurant is called Maialina and it's located across the street from the Moscow Fire Department. The owners are hosting the sneak peek to raise money for Bethany Lowe, a University of Idaho student that is fighting brain cancer.

"We thought that with the excitement that has been generated in the community over the opening of our new restaurant, it would be a great opportunity for us to raise money to help them with their medical bills," said co-owner Carly Lily.

The event starts at 5:00 p.m., and the cost is $20 per person, which includes a Neapolitan specialty pizza and of a glass of wine, beer, or soda. You can make seating reservations for anytime between 5:00 and 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday or until 9:30 Monday evening. All the proceeds from the event will help pay Lowe's medical bills.
