Many Nez Perce County residents are taking to the polls early

LEWISTON, ID - With general elections just around the corner many people are taking to the polls early.

Right now at the Brammer Building in downtown Lewiston voters can cast their votes. Nez Perce County Auditor Patty Weeks said early voting makes it easier for folks who don't have time to wait in lines to cast their votes in advance.

"This set-up we just focus solely on voting people, and they don't have to wait as long," said Weeks.

If you're unable to make it to the polls for early voting or general election day, you can send in a written request to the Lewiston Election Office at PO Box 896 and a ballot will be mailed to you.
