Modernization projects awarded to Pullman and Colton School Districts

PULLMAN, WA - Thursday, the Superintendent of Public Instruction announced that $213-million will be awarded to select Washington school districts, thanks to both legislature and Governor Jay Inslee.

This assistance, added to the $381-million in local school district funds that were approved by voters last year, makes $594-million available for the remodeling of outdated buildings and construction of new ones.

A total of 21 districts were chosen, Colton and Pullman among them.
Colton School District will receive over five-million dollars to modernize the main Colton School building, and Pullman will receive nearly $14-million to replace most of Pullman High School and remodel a few spaces including the gym.
