Participants marched from Legos School to Friendship Square in downtown Moscow, where they gathered for a rally and a prayer. This is the fourth anti-abortion march that Moscow's Right to Life has sponsored near the anniversary of the Roe versus Wade supreme court decision, which happened on January 22, 1973.
"55 and a half million babies have died as a result of legalized abortion since Roe versus Wade and we think that's at least 55 and a half million children too many," said Moscow Right-to-Life President Linda Geidl.
Officials also said that the annual march attracts anywhere from 20 to a couple hundred people. This year, close to 100 people marched and that's likely due to the fact of abortion rights being in the news a lot lately.
