Moscow Trinity Food Pantry's non-perishable stocks are at an all-time low

MOSCOW, ID - One of Moscow's most popular food banks is only open one night a week, but they're feeding more families now than ever.

To keep that up, they need the community's support. The Trinity Food Pantry is open on Tuesday's from 4:00 to 7;00 p.m. Director Bev Bafus said lately the pantry has been emptied on a weekly basis because they're seeing about 50% more people than they served this time last year.

"We have a lot of support from retail grocery stores in the area, so we get a lot of fresh and frozen," said Bafus. "But what we really need is non-perishable food. Our non-perishable stocks are at an all-time low."

Bafus said Trinity is just one of many local food pantries that's in need of extra help right now, so it's important to donate to the organization in your community.

If you live in the Moscow area and you'd like to help Trinity Food Pantry, you can drop off non-perishable foods at Trinity Baptist Church in East Moscow at 711 Fairview Drive. The office is open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. till noon. You can also leave donations at Cafe Artista, which is downtown at the corner of Third and Main Street.
