Murder suspect pleads Not Guilty

LEWISTON, ID - A judge has ordered that a Lapwai man, charged with murder, be held without bond.

Thirty-seven-year-old Raymond Scott Jr. entered a not guilty plea in an arraignment held at the Nez Perce County jail earlier today. Scott faces murder charges, among other offenses, for the death of 42-year-old William G. Reich of Lapwai. The victim was assaulted at his home Tuesday night, then succumbed to his injuries early Wednesday morning. Thursday evening, officials revised Scott's bond to $16,500, but tribal court, Chief Judge Bruce Plackowski negated that by ordering that the defendant be held without bond.
