National Ag Day is a time to thank local producers who provide food

LEWISTON, ID - March 19th signifies National Agriculture Day, as organized by the Agriculture Council of America.

The ACA works hard every March to educate Americans on how the food we eat is produced and why the agriculture industry is so important. Farm Service Agency, Farm Loan Manager Bardell Faux said the economic stability in our region especially is heavily dependent on the hard work of local producers.

"It's a day to remember our farmers and ranchers in the United States," said Faux. "We have such an abundance supply of food and fiber that we can take it for granted."

Faux encourages you to thank the local farmers and ranchers in the area who provide food for our families.
