New water treatment plant constructed for city of Orofino

OROFINO, ID - The town of Orofino is putting in a new multi-million dollar water facility.

JC Constructors out of Meridian, Idaho are working on the facility that's needed to be replaced for quite some time. The original water facility was built in1931, and received a few updates back in 1953.

The facility will provide water to the town of Orofino by pumping it from the Clearwater River. The project is expected to last about a year and a half and cost more than $11 million. The project is being funded by a combination of loans and grants.
