N.P. Airport Authority Board requests most money at 2015 fiscal budget meeting

LEWISTON, ID - Leaders from Lewiston and Nez Perce County are planning for fiscal year 2015.

They met for their annual joint budget meeting on Monday. Several department heads spoke about the dollar amounts they'd like to see from the city and county. The largest request of the day came from the Airport Authority Board for more than $165,000. The money would be used for two new taxiways.

"They don't know how much excavation is going to be required on the taxi lanes and putting in the utilities," said Airport Authority Board Treasurer, Pat Nuxoll. "So there is a big unknown of the construction costs on that."

Last year both the city and county gave $75,000 to the project, however initial estimates have more than doubled since then.
