Opportunities to become involved with projects in City of Moscow

MOSCOW, ID - Moscow citizens have a handful of new opportunities to give their input on the city's affairs.

The city is assembling a jury to choose which food and craft vendors get to sell at the Farmers Market in the Spring. Anyone can apply on the city's website, and the deadline in next Wednesday.

"It's a citizens market," said Moscow Arts Director Kathleen Burns. "And it's what the community might want, and it's what the community might want in the market, and so it's very important."

The city is also looking for a design for the manhole and tree grate covers around town. The artist of winning designs will receive $100 and the deadline is on Monday. The parks and rec department recently decided to create a new park, and they are looking for names for that as well.
