Leaders from the Nez Perce County Sheriff's Office gave the commission an in-depth look at statistics from last year, and there are some positive changes that will impact 2014. Overtime hours plagued the office last year, but since the department transitioned from ten to 12 hour shifts back in October, that's all changed.
"But the bottom line the overtime, safety for the last three months looking at the overtime we were greatly surprised," said N.P. County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy, Scot Gleason.
The sheriff's office pulled over 4,000 people last year, and gave 1,000 tickets. If you'd like to know what the sheriff's office has been up to, their will be a PDF version of the 2013 stats on their website.
