Pinkham taken into custody after stabbing on Sunday

LEWISTON, ID - One person is behind bars following a stabbing in Lewiston on Sunday.

According to the Lewiston Police Department, officers and medics were dispatched to the 1000 block of Sixth Avenue shortly before 2 p.m. for a stabbing. After arriving on scene both Johnathan Paul and Patricia Pinkham, were taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center for their injuries.

"Paul had received a single stab wound from Pinkham, and then she had self-inflicted a couple, three stab wounds to herself," said LPD Captain, Tom Greene.

After being treated, Pinkham was taken into custody. Greene said that a motive is not known at this time, however the two are involved in some type of a relationship. The investigation is still ongoing.
