Pistol accidently discharges killing Moscow man

MOSCOW, ID - A Moscow man is dead after his own gun accidentally discharged, hitting him in the chest Thursday afternoon.

According to the Latah County Sheriff's Office, 66-year-old Michael Snow was carrying two rifles and a pistol down the stairs to his basement when he fell. Investigators said 22-caliber pistol that he was carrying discharged and Snow was shot in the chest. Deputies said his wife called the police when she came home from work and found him unresponsive at the bottom of the stairs. This happened in south Moscow at Snow's house on Cameron Road.
