The district goes to the voters every year, asking them to approve a Supplemental Levy that supports basic operations. But this year's levy is $6.12 per thousand-dollars of assessed property value, and that's 46-cents less than last year's levy.
"We've kept everything within our budget the last two-three years, real tight," said Potlatch School District Superintendent Jeff Circa. "And it's paid off. And so we're able to give this back to the taxpayers at this time."
Election day is coming up on March 11th, and the Potlatch School District will hold an informational meeting about the levy Thursday night. It's at 7:00 in Princeton at the Nazarene Church.
The Genesee and Kendrick School Districts will also vote on their own supplemental levies next week.
