Pullman man arrested for allegedly pointing shotgun at former roommates

PULLMAN, WA - A Pullman resident was arrested just after midnight on Sunday morning after pointing a shotgun at two acquaintances at their residence on Illinois Street.

According to Pullman Police, 26-year-old James Simpson was sub-letting a room in the house and was upset that the original tenants made him move out at that time.

When he came to collect his belongings on Saturday night, the two residents were escorting Simpson out of the house when Simpson grabbed a shotgun, racked it, and pointed it at them. The residents ran to the back of the house and called Pullman Police Department.

Simpson was arrested for assault in the first degree and taken to the Whitman County Courthouse. Nobody was injured.
