Pullman Police step up Night Patrols after Series of Vehicle Prowls
PULLMAN, WA —
In Pullman, police are investigating a series of car prowls on Military Hill. The vehicle prowls happened over the weekend on Turner Drive and Robert Street on the north part of town.
Victims lost personal items they kept in their cars. Detectives with the Pullman Police Department said this is a difficult crime to stop.
Pullman Police Detective Chris Engle said, “Vehicle prowls are really difficult for us to investigate because they tend to not leave any evidence behind and we often times can only tie back the property later on once its traded hands a few times.”
Pullman police are beefing up night patrols in areas that have been hit by prowls in the past. However, the best way to prevent this crime is to lock your car, keep valuables out, and park in well-lit areas.
