Red Wolf Bridge construction update
CLARKSTON, WA —
The Red Wolf Bridge is still closed due to construction. But good news, the project engineers said they will be done soon.
The bridge, which hasn’t been updated in roughly 40 years, has been under construction since last month. They have been pulling seven-day a week shifts to ensure they’ll finish on time.
"You, know, we're working for the Washington State Department of Transportation so we're under their direction,” said Chris Duty, Hamilton Construction. “We're just out here performing stuff safely and efficiently as we can. The overall goal is to have the bridge reopen to traffic before Memorial Day and we'll have some work later in the summer to come back and tidy up."
Construction started from the north side of the bridge all the way up to Clarkston. They have removed the old concrete and are getting ready to lay down the new starting Friday.
