These are 'Students from Skills USA' a leadership organization that works on building technical skills. For the last four years, they've been hand-making toy horses they donate to Toys for Tots.
This year they made 26 horses that are all different and unique, and delivered them Tuesday to Toys for Tots.
"Not only is it really fun to build them and paint them, but it's good knowing it's going to someone who needs it and will enjoy it," said student Rachel Davis.
"Every year for the past four years they've made these and we've gotten them out to the children and they just fall in love," said Toys for Toys Coordinator, Jim White. "Some are going to be given out this Saturday at Christmas Connection and just watching the children get on them and play on them is fantastic."
The students are able to build the horses year after year thanks to donations from Kendall Cares and Schweitzer, and they work on this project after school hours. Their volunteering isn't over, Tuesday night they're helping pack boxes of toys for the Toys for Tots program.
