Police said a search warrant was issued for the residence because of a methamphetamine sale that was made Monday. Police said they had knowledge that handguns were possibly being sold from the home as well.
According to LPD Captain Tom Greene a threat assessment was done on the residence before proceeding. Because of the number of people there, and because of the possibility of weapons the SWAT team was used.
"You know we have a lot of places in the community that we watch like this that are nuisance to neighborhoods with high amounts of traffic in and out," said Captain Greene. "And we're constantly trying to come up with a solution to to take care of those places and hopefully this is one of them that we've taken care of today."
Police are still investigating. We'll continue to update this story as we get more information
