Brian Taylor, 42, was originally arrested by Moscow Police in June on multiple felony counts that include lewd conduct with a minor under 16, male rape, sexual exploitation of a child, and possession of a controlled substance. Additional charges were filed against him following his arrest.
The defense entered a plea agreement Wednesday afternoon that reduced the number of felony charges from 25 to nine, including four-counts of lewd conduct with a child under 16, four-counts of sexual abuse of a child, and one count of sexual exploitation of a child.
"And how do you plea to those charges?" asked Second District Court Judge Jeff Brudie.
"Guilty," said defendant Brian Taylor.
"Do you understand that by pleading guilty to those charges and being sentenced for those offenses that you will be required to register as a sex offender?" asked Brudie.
"Yes, your honor," said Taylor.
Second District Court Judge Jeff Brudie accepted the guilty plea and he issued a pre-sentence investigation and a psycho-sexual evaluation for Taylor. Those reports will be completed by January third, and a sentencing date will be scheduled at that time.
