The number one reason why people call Mike's during hot summer months

LEWISTON, ID - With several triple-digit days ahead of us, finding a cool place to relax is vital, which is why it's important to have your air conditioner up and running and know what to do if it goes out.

According to Mike's Heating and Air Conditioning owner Jon Brotnov, this is their busiest time of year averaging 80-service calls a day. And with six- triple digit days ahead of us, it's no mystery what everybody needs.

However Brotnov said there are things people can do to prevent an A-C from going out in the dead heat of summer.

"The best advice I can give our number one call both in cooling and heating season is a plugged filter," said Brotnov. "So maintain the filter. If you haven't changed the filter in a while go take a look at it, take it out replace it, that's going to eliminate most of the problems right there.

Leaving the thermostat set at a comfortable temperature even while away from home is another piece of advice.
