This weekend party leaders reunite for Idaho State GOP Convention

MOSCOW, ID - The Idaho State GOP Convention is kicking off as we speak, with party leaders from across the nation speaking and campaigning in Moscow over the next few days.

Most of the events will be in the Kibbie Dome on the University of Idaho campus. Open meetings will be held all day Friday with the public welcome to attend.

Idaho Republican Executive Director Trevor Thorpe said this convention is about re-uniting the party after the Primaries last May.

"We're all going to gather and get back on the same page," said Thorpe. "We know that the people that came out of the Primary are our candidates, and they're the folks we're going to support in the General Election and see some success in November."

Thursday night's kick-off event featured former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee. He hosts a show on the Fox News Channel and has his own syndicated radio show.

The headlining event of the convention is Friday night when Senator Rand Paul will speak at the Kibbie Dome. He's rumored to be a potential 2016 Presidential candidate. Tickets are still available to hear him speak.
