Time chips for Seaport River Run lets participants see their results faster

LEWISTON, ID - It's time to dust off your running shoes and sign up for the 37th Annual Seaport River Run.

It's not only the largest valley race but also a great way to kick off all the Dogwood festivities. Parks and Rec Director Tim Barker said this year they'll be doing something different by providing runners with a chip timing system.

"Your time will be effective when you cross the start line and then cross the finish line," said Barker. "And so the chip system is a great system because it's all computerized and they can enter it into the computer and we can get the results sooner than hand doing it like we have in the past."

The Willow Center for Grieving Children will receive a portion of this years proceeds. The last day to sign up for the family friendly event without paying late fees is April 16th.
