Tough Enough to Wear Pink brings special vibe to roundup
LEWISTON, ID —
According to nationalbreastcancer.org, one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their life time. It's a disease that affects people in all facets of life, and tomorrow at the Lewiston Roundup, you can help the fight against breast cancer.
It's “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” night to raise money for breast cancer awareness. For every person that comes to the rodeo decked out in pink, they will donate a dollar in their honor to support breast cancer awareness.
Brittney Keil is on the board for the Gina Quesenberry Foundation, who are sponsoring this event, said Tough Enough to Wear Pink brings a special vibe to the roundup. "It feels like everyone is coming together to support one cause, so it really puts everyone on the same team because we all want the same thing, which is awareness and eventually a cure for breast cancer. So it's really an awesome feeling especially in a community like this,” Keil said.
The money raised tomorrow will go to help local organizations like the Gina Quesenberry Foundation, Light The Candle and Casting for Recovery.
