This is a collaboration between the University of Idaho, the City of Moscow, and its Chamber of Commerce. Moscow Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Gina Taruscio said it's the first time all three entities have come together to create a single identity.
"We'd like a new logo, we'd like a new motto, we basically are looking for what's unique about Moscow that will encourage students, and faculty, and tourists, and new business, new residents," said Taruscio.
Taruscio said most of the funding will come from an Idaho Department of Commerce Tourism Grant. The city and the university each agreed to contribute $10,000 to the project. They plan to hire a consultant in June. At that point, they'll also seek out the public's input.
