The Asotin County Health District is in the process of transitioning from an office space in Clarkston to Asotin. Some audience members at the meeting expressed concerns for folks who don't have access to transportation. Program cuts to the health district were also a concern. The commissioners are three of the five members on the board who oversee the health district.
"Even though what you say is accurate and relevant, it doesn't pay the bills," said Asotin County Commissioner, Brian Shinn. "It doesn't pay those people and they bill according to what they do throughout the day."
The health district is expected to be at their Clarkston location through the end of April. They had to move to the space in Asotin because of severe financial cuts this past year.
