Tri-State hospital officials apply for loan from USDA

CLARKSTON, WA - Tri-State Memorial Hospital is one step closer to getting a loan for their expansion and renovation plans.

The Asotin county commission expressed their formal support Monday morning for the hospital's loan application and its plan to expand the Medical Office building in Clarkston. Tri-State officials are applying for a loan from the division of the USDA that focuses on rural development.

"I support this," said Asotin County Commissioner Jim Jeffords. "I'd like to see Tri-State continue to grow."

"It's good that we have a community hospital willing to get involved in the community," said Asotin County Commissioner Jim Fuller.

A representative from Tri-State Memorial Hospital said that this is one of the many steps in the process to secure funding for the renovations.
