For more than ten years Twin County United Way has hosted its annual "Day of Caring" in the Lewis-Clark Valley. This year more than 190 volunteers set out to help 15 agencies and projects throughout the valley... an act of kindness that means the world to their recipients.
"They were a great help, with them they were able to bring in some donors that otherwise may have not came in and donated," said Inland N.W. Blood Center Donor Services Andy Cortez. "But their visibility out there in the community helped bring in a few donors and then after that a few of them came in and donated themselves."
Delivering hot meals, painting at The Boys and Girls Club, and maintenance of the YWCA are just a few of the volunteer tasks that were completed. To make this all happen, many local businesses donated the time of their employees.
