The event starts at 9:00 a.m. at Toyota of Pullman, and the organizers strongly encourage participants to register online ahead of time, or show up at 8:00 a.m. Secured payment and downloadable registration forms are available online. It costs $22 for adults and $12 for children 6 to 15-year-olds to participate in the race. All the proceeds go to a variety of local non-profit agencies.
"We fundraise to allocate money to each of those agencies all year, so we kind of kick-off our fundraising season in the fall, and then we have our 18 agencies that we like to fundraise for," said Dash for Cash Co-Chair Whitney Aguilar.
The United Way's member agencies include Sojourner's Alliance, Palouse Habitat for Humanity, and the Idaho Food Bank. More than 100 people participated last year, and they're hoping to see more than 200 participants this time around. Everyone that signs up gets a free t-shirt, a water bottle, and plenty of refreshments will be provided.
