Over the next three nights, Ernest Hemingway-themed events will be taking place in downtown Moscow. The festivities include a Hemingway Cocktail Hour, a movie screening of Midnight in Paris, and a book fair.
"It's a celebration of literature, but more than that, especially what local people really like is that he liked everything that people in Idaho like," said University of Idaho Hemingway Festival Director Brandon Schrand. "He lived in Idaho. He loved to hunt, he loved to fish."
The festival is hosted downtown so the entire community can be a part of it. This year, a group of local high school kids will get to meet with award winning author Teju Cole, who is in town for the event.
The most anticipated part of the festival is Wednesday night's feast that features food inspired by Hemingway's work, but all the tickets are already sold out. You can visit the university's website for a full schedule of events.
