Utility worker discovered unconscious outside of a Lewiston home

LEWISTON, ID - A utility worker has been transported to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center after he was found unconscious on a lawn.

Police said the man may be from Grangeville, but police have not yet released his identity. Lewiston Police Officer John Petrie believes the private utility worker was installing fiber optic cable Thursday afternoon.
along Shiloh Drive in Lewiston. Initial reports said he was electrocuted, but Petrie confirmed that electrocution has been ruled out.

"Approximately a fifty-five-ish year old male was found lying in the yard unconscious," said Petrie. "When the call came out the neighbors were doing CPR."

Emergency crews continued to try to resuscitate the man, however he did not have a pulse.
