Positive Behavior Supports and Intervention is the new system of positive reinforcement. Parkway and Grantham will also be taking part in this national behavioral system.
"Our focus is always that students are spending more time in their classroom engaged in lessons and learning," said Highland School Principal Angela Baldus. "And so we need to get their behavior under control first for them to be able to be successful in the classroom."
This program was developed by the U.S. Department of Education and is used in identifying, adapting, and sustaining effective school-wide discipline practices.
Once the goal of being respectful is met, then the entire school will get to go to a movie at the Clarkston High School.
