VFW in Pullman holds ceremony to honor deceased veterans

PULLMAN, WA - Veterans Day has come and gone this year, but a ceremony was held in Pullman Sunday to honor Veterans who have recently died.

The ceremony was held at Lawson Gardens and it is part of the Veterans Memorial Tribute Program. The names of the deceased men were read aloud, and five men fired three volleys into the air.

"Well, it's a military honors for the deceased veterans, and I think that all veterans deserve that." said Potlatch VFW Post 10300 Commander Carl Pixley.

This is a relatively new ceremony, and it was the first time it was held at Lawson Gardens. It was hosted by Potlatch VFW Post Ten-300 and it was the third one they've done in the area this year.
