Westgate waived his right to a preliminary hearing

MOSCOW, ID - One of the teenagers arrested for robbing a Moscow convenience store at gunpoint will be arraigned on Monday, while his accomplice awaits sentencing on identical charges.

Moscow Police arrested 18-year-old Bailey Westgate of Moscow and 17-year-old Nickolaus Parker of Genesee in October, after they were identified as the robbers who stole $60 and a carton of cigarettes from a local Stinker store.

Latah County Prosecutor Bill Thompson said the teens are being charged with grand theft and two counts of burglary, all of which are felonies. Thompson said Westgate waived his right to a preliminary hearing Thursday morning, and he was bound over to district court for an arraignment, while Parker has plead guilty to all three charges in juvenile court. His sentencing is scheduled for December 18th.
