Wine industry in the state of Idaho shows growth

LEWISTON, ID - Idaho wine is gaining popularity nationwide, that's according to a new report by the Idaho Wine Commission.

June was Idaho Wine Month and it saw a 32% increase. Industry leaders expect to see another big gain later this year. According to the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism report, Idaho is second in the nation for the amount of wine consumed per capita. Idaho Wine Month was first proclaimed by Governor Butch Otter in 2009. Since then, it's grown to become the busiest time of the year for the wine industry.
