WSU civil service non-union employees receive bonus pay

PULLMAN, WA - Some Washington State University civil service employees will receive a pay increase next month.

On Thursday WSU President Elson Floyd announced on his website that 'eligible' civil service staff will receive a one-time payment that's equal to four-percent of their annual salary. It will be added to their paycheck on March 25th.

According to a representative from the Washington State Federation of State Employees, this bonus will affect about 1,500 civil service employees. However, almost 300 employees that are part of a union will be excluded. There will be more negotiations between the university and the union on Monday.
