Cows scrambled to get out of the way of a man who led police on a high-speed chase at the wheel of a stolen truck in central Florida.

The incident started Wednesday morning. The Ocala Police Department asked for help from Marion County in a chase of a stolen truck. The chase wound through a rural area of northeast Marion County.

At one point, the driver of the stolen truck barreled through several fences on private property.

The driver narrowly missed several cows while speeding through the farms.

The chase ended when authorities used stop sticks and performed a PIT maneuver to stop the truck.

The suspect, identified as 50-year-old Gregory Walker, told deputies he "was just giving them something to do," according to the Marion County Sheriff's Office.

Neither the animals, officers or Walker were injured during the chase.
