New Yorkers treated to semi-annual 'Manhattanhenge' display

NEW YORK -- People in Manhattan were treated Wednesday to their twice-yearly display of an astronomical quirk where the sun is perfectly aligned with the city's avenues.

The locals have given it the moniker "Manhattanhenge." It allows then to see the sun perfectly framed by the city's skyscrapers.

It happens every year around May 29 and again around July 12.
