Bulldogs pull ahead of Cougs during last few seconds

PULLMAN, WA - WSU took on their second top 15 opponent of the season Wednesday night as they battled 10th ranked Gonzaga in Pullman.

The Cougs started out tough as Will Diiorio got it to Dexter Kernich-Drew, who put it up for two. Cougs didn't stop there. Mike Ladd sent it outside to Davonte Lacy. Lacy hit the three but then it was time for the Zags to make their mark. Elias Harris drove it inside but threw it out to Kevin Pangos and it was tied up 25-25. Cougs had the ball with five seconds left in the half. Lacy tried to take it in, lost control but Ladd was there to put it in at the buzzer.

Cougs battled hard all through the second half but came up just short as the Bulldogs took this one with a score of 71-69.
