In the spring finale game, Challich threw for 332 years and ran for another 102. Davis threw for 157 yards. Spring ball was a tight competition, but the Vandals Head Coach, Paul Petrino, has a front runner for the job.
"Coming out of spring ball, Chad came out as the leading quarterback out of spring ball so he'll start out kind of the guy that people gotta' beat out," said Petrino. "I think Davis continued to improve and got better as spring ball went on."
As state earlier, other quarterbacks will be competing for the coveted signal caller position, such as, redshirt freshman, Austin Decoud, and junior, Anthony Neyer.
We will all know more as camp opens up next week.
