College athletes send thoughts, prayers to their city Las Vegas
MOSCOW, ID —
University of Idaho and Washington State both have student-athletes who are from the Las Vegas Valley. Monday night, they tweeted out their thoughts.
Idaho freshman goalkeeper Brooke Townsend tweeted out, "Hug your loved one’s tight tonight. Wish I could be there to be with my Vegas family."
Townsend hails from Henderson, which is just outside of Vegas city limits.
WSU football player, redshirt freshman Keenen King tweeted out, "Prayers go out to everyone in Las Vegas. It's crazy to hear this kind of news and be away from home. Love y'all."
Washington State football also tweeted a picture with a simple message. Pray for Las Vegas.
And as someone who has family, in Las Vegas, I can relate to those student-athletes.
