Former UI Basketball player Barone goes professional

MOSCOW, ID - Sticking with the Vandals, a one-time Idaho basketball player is making his mark in the pros.

Former Idaho men's basketball player and 2013 Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year, Kyle Barone has officially turned professional. He signed a contract with P-G-E Turow Zgorzelec in Poland.

Barone averaged 17.1 points, 9.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.2 blocks per game for the Vandals last season, and left Idaho as one of the most prolific big men in program history. His 126 games played are a program record, as he never missed a game in his four-year career. He ranks second in program history in rebounds and third in points.
