Four Cougar players score in double figures claiming victory over Husky women

PULLMAN, WA - Hey remember when the Cougar women beat the Husky women last week for the first time in many years, well they played again last Saturday.

Round two in less than a week as this time the Washington State University women's basketball team made their way to Seattle to take on the University of Washington Husky women.

Last Tuesday, the Cougar women beat the Huskies 82-80 at home to get their first win against them in 18 years. As for Saturday's game, we saw four players score in double figures, including Tia Presley's 29 points, a 47-percent shooting game, and a season-low seven turnovers. Those factors and some fantastic team-play led to another big Cougar women victory, beating the Huskies 85-76.

The 10-6 Wazzu women get their first win over the Huskies in Seattle since 1993 after dropping the last 20 meetings and also get a regular-season sweep of UW for the first time since 1975. Washington state hosts the University of Colorado Friday at 7:00 p.m.
