Hawkinson signs first pro contract to play basketball in Japan


And we have a player from the Palouse going pro. Former Washington State forward Josh Hawkinson will play pro ball in Japan.

He’ll start his pro-career with the Toyotsu Fighting Eagles Nagoya.

Hawkinson is WSU’s all-time leader for rebounds and double-doubles. This past season, he ranked second in the Pac-12 grabbing ten rebounds per game.

While wearing crimson and gray, be became the 13th Pac-12 player in Pac-12 history to reach 1,000 rebounds.
