Hercules Mata’afa named award finalist
PULLMAN, WA —
Washington State defensive lineman Hercules Mata’afa had a busy Tuesday.
Not only was he named as an All-Pac-12 first team, but he was also named as a finalist for the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award.
His 21.5 tackles for a loss leads the Pac-12 and his 9.5 sacks in 2017 makes him tied for ninth in the country.
The winner of the Award will be named a week from Tuesday.
