Idaho football’s new additions
MOSCOW, ID —
With a new season, comes new faces and with the Idaho Vandals starting spring football earlier this week, Idaho head football coach Paul Petrino made some changes to the coaching staff.
Petrino added two new coaches and promoted one from within.
The additions are: John Graham (who will coach the inside linebackers) and Vernon Smith (who will coach the cornerbacks).
Whereas the promotion from within, offensive graduate assistant Brandon Mitchell will coach the wide receivers.
The new coaching additions will benefit the Vandals in their FCS transition, according to Petrino.
“The nice thing about those two guys is: they have a lot of Big Sky experience,” Petrino said. “So, going into that league, and John coaching in that league forever, they’ve both been in it and that’ll help. It’s something we’re working hard that, learning about those teams.”
