LC Warriors partake in Little League Opening Day festivities
LEWISTON, ID —
For you and me, there is nothing quite like opening day for baseball. But for a nine, ten, eleven-year-old you can amplify those feelings by a hundred, not to mention their families and coaches!
Lewiston Little League’s opening day was celebrated today at Airport Park. Players and teams were introduced to the crowd while LC State baseball players were in attendance to assist with a “Hit-a-Thon” where players looked to hit targets for the chance to win prizes.
The evening culminated with the boys and girls majors opening night games and the Warriors spoke on how special of a night it was to share with the little leaguers.
"I love being out here, even if I can't be on a normal field, being out here for these guys is awesome,” said Gage Burland, LCSC pitcher.
"When I was little, I always saw the LC players as like role models and now to be a role model to these kids here at the camp is definitely amazing,” said Dalton Stamper, LCSC pitcher.
