Junior Guard Jacob Champoux has been clutch in close games and Saturday was no different. The Warriors were tied with Montana Tech heading into the final two seconds of the game when Champoux drained a jumper that pushed LCSC past Montana Tech 65-63.
Champoux finished with 23 points, shooting 9-13 from the field and was named Frontier Conference Player of the Week. When asked about being the go-to guy in close games, Champoux said he doesn't mind the challenge.
"We definitely drew it up to where I was getting the ball and I was gonna have to make a decision," said Champoux. "Ya know and my teammates trust me to have the ball at the end of the game and I'm just thankful to have the opportunities."
The Warriors have a little break these next few days for the holiday but are back on the court against Concordia University-Alberta on Sunday.
